How to make marshmallows covered in Jello or Koolaid, on a toothpick? What holds the crystals on it?
My kids buy these treats at school when they have a bake sale. A marshmallow on a toothpick, and they are rolled in Jello or presweetened koolaid. I don't know which, and don't know how to make the coating stick. Can anyone help?

I think I know what you are talking about, but it is much more complicated than rolling marshmallows in something... The sugar-coated marshmallows are actually home-made marshmallows like these Easter ones made with candy molds.

However, I do recall a recipe somewhere that used marshmallows rolled in jello or sugar and you have to brush corn syrup on the marshmallows to make it stick. Also not easy and time consuming...
