Actually that is not the way at all but unlikely you should eat healthy but tone up your muscles to get that appealing look. The more you tone up your muscles the more the visibility of muscles would be.
Most of the people believe that 'high reps' shape the muscle and that 'low reps' build muscle. And let me tell you this is not true! You need to lose fat and then tone your muscles. Most of the gym rats believe that fitness equipment weight can make give them their desired look but I know it is not true. Now you would be thinking how to lose fat? Do we need to go hungry? My answer as above is absolutely not. I personally can't stand to eat tiny meals all the time, plus it isn't really practical. My advice- try to keep your calorie intake throughout your entire day low, when you are trying to get lean.
Eat super reduced calorie meals earlier in the day or even skip a meal, this really helps. You will get lean quickly if you mere reduce your calorie consumption; don't make it more complex than it is. If you know that you are going out for a party then take extremely low calories or skip a meal.
It really does not take much of weight lifting to keep the muscle volume you already have and the cardio is going to reduce any fat and make your muscle look that much better.
The other way to have those ripped muscles is to have a good and healthy diet. Add lots of raw fruits and vegetables. Adding lots of nutritious food is the only good way to build your muscles. The reason is that, raw vegetables and fruits have natural fat, which doesn't harm you.
All you need to do is eat healthy and cut down on junk food; you can try replacing potato chips and chocolates with fruits, your favorite soda drinks with a glass of lemonade or fruit juice. I can assure you that, you'll see a world of difference.
