Frequently Asked Questions...
Does anyone have a recipe that is similar to the Capallini Pomodoro from The Pasta Bowl in Chicago?
I want one that has the mozarella chunks like the Pasta Bowl has in their recipe. It is so good, but the way that they make it is not like the other capallini pomodoro recipes that I have seen on the web (like the Olive garden one).
Answer:
I googled the Pasta Bowl's recipe a few times, and I could only find Olive Garden's! Here's another recipe I found though, tell me if it's as good! This one doesn't have the mozzarella chunks, just add them.
2 Garlic cloves minced
2 lb Plum Tomatoes seed diced
1 oz Fresh Basil minced
1/3 cup Olive Oil ex-virgin
3 oz Parmesan Cheese
12 oz Angel Hair Pasta cooked
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil and add garlic; cook until it turns white.
2. Add tomatoes and pepper and heat through, stirring constantly, about 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Tomatoes should not lose their shape. Remove from heat.
4. Transfer hot, cooked pasta to large bowl.
5. Toss pasta gently with tomato mixture, basil and half of Parmesan cheese.
6. Serve immediately and pass remaining Parmesan.
