To ensure that it is genuine UMF Manuka honey, check that the name UMF is stated clearly on front of the jar.
The New Zealand UMF Licensee's brand name and license number should be on the front label.
• It should have a UMF rating of 10 or more. UMF ratings of under 10 have very low activity levels, ratings of 10-15 have useful levels of activity and ratings over 16 have very high levels of activity.
